Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have eight male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.

Here are the male finalists:

Joe Gjinaj, Fairfield Warde Wrestling. Gjinaj, who recently had his 100th victory, had three wins by pin to win the 195-pound title at the Warde Invitational.

George Harrington, Staples Wrestling. Harrington had a pin and two decisions to win the 220-pound title at the Warde Invitational.

Bennett McDermott, Darien Hockey. McDermott scored three goals in a 6-4 win over Notre Dame-West Haven.

Oliver Milledge, Greenwich Basketball. Milledge scored 26 points in a win over Darien.

Ryan Schriber, Wilton Basketball. Schriber scored 20 points in a win over Westhill.

Tyler Sung, New Canaan Wrestling. Sung, who recently had his 100th victory, had three wins by pin to take the 145-pound title at the Lawless Invitational.

Sam White, Norwalk Wrestling. White, who recently had his 100th victory, won the 120-pound title at the Warde Invitational.

Timmond Williams, Trumbull Basketball. Williams scored 19 points, including a 3-point shot at the buzzer, to defeat Ridgefield, giving him 1,000 career points. He finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds in a one-point loss to Waterford.

 

Here are the female finalists:

Cassi Barbato, Trumbull Basketball. Barbato made five 3-pointers and scored 21 points in a come-from-behind win over Wilbur Cross.

Kelsey Fedorko, Greenwich Gymnastics. Fedorko won the bars, beam and all-around in a 129.8-129.55 win over Wilton.

Iyanna Lops, Trinity Catholic Basketball. Lops had a triple-double with 25 points, 16 rebounds and 10 blocks in a win over Staples.

Bridget Paulmann, Fairfield Ludlowe Basketball. Paulmann finished with 26 points and four steals in a win over Stamford.

Kaitlin Reif, Wilton Basketball. Reif scored 21 points in a win over Westhill.

Emily Stefanelli, Ridgefield-Danbury Hockey. Stefanelli scored with 49 seconds remaining for a 2-1 upset win over Greenwich.
