Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and seven female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.

Here are the male finalists:

Bruce Ferguson, Darien Football. Ferguson had an interception and was part of a stifling defensive effort as the Blue Wave shut out Staples 24-0.

Joe Gulbin, Fairfield Warde FootballGulbin threw for two touchdowns and ran for another in a 26-10 win over Danbury.

Mallomin Jallow, Danbury Soccer. Jallow scored the decisive goal in the Hatters’ 1-0 win over Stamford to remain unbeaten.

Isaiah Johnson, Stamford Football. Johnson threw a pair of scoring passes for Stamford in a 27-12 loss to McMahon.

Andrew Malling, New Canaan Cross Country. Malling posted another meet win to complete the regular season unbeaten.

Gavin Muir, Greenwich Football. Muir completed 12 of 19 passes for 262 yards and three touchdowns and ran for two scores in a 42-14 win over New Canaan.

Ja’kai Young, Westhill Football. Young scored four touchdowns and had an interception in the Vikings’ first win, 32-12 over Capital Prep.

 

Here are the female finalists:

Lauren Castle, Ridgefield Girls Soccer. Castle posted a shutout in a 1-0 win over Wilton. The Tigers have not allowed a goal in 10 games.

Cristina Escajadillo, Darien Volleyball. Escajadillo finished with 37 assists, 8 service points and 5 digs in a 3-0 win over Stamford.

Meghan Lynch, Greenwich Swimming. Lynch had four first-place finishes in a 105-81 win over Staples.

Erin Melia, Trumbull Soccer. Melia scored twice in a 3-2 win over Greenwich.

Jessica Mazo, St. Joseph Soccer. Mazo scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over town rival Trumbull.

Lauren Moore, Danbury Cross Country. Moore took first place in a meet against Staples, Ridgefield and Greenwich.

Chloe Ortolano, Brien McMahon Soccer. Ortolano scored a goal in a 3-0 win over Trinity Catholic, setting the school career record with 38 goals.
