Vote For The BlueStreak-Ruden Report Male And Female Players Of The Week

We have eight male and five female finalists for the BlueStreak-Ruden Report Players of the Week.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.

Here are the male finalists:

Ryan Donnelly, Fairfield Warde Baseball. Donnelly went 6 for 12 with two home runs, 10 RBIs, six runs scored and one win on the mound in three games.

Jackson Fretty, Greenwich Golf. Fretty took medalist honors with a 72 to help the Cardinals win the Brunswick Invitational.

Javon Hernandez, Danbury Baseball. Hernandez had three hits, including a grand slam, in a 6-2 win over Brien McMahon.

Luke Kammerman, Trumbull Lacrosse. Kammerman finished with 8 goals and 14 assists in the Eagles’ three wins.

Paul Kim, Ridgefield Track. Kim won the long jump and triple jump in a 128-15 win over Darien.

Jack Knisley, Fairfield Ludlowe Baseball. Knisley finished with three home runs and 10 RBIs in three wins.

Quintin O’Connell, New Canaan Lacrosse. O’Connell scored 4 goals in a 13-8 win over Greenwich and 4 goals in a 9-7 loss to Darien.

Will Tellini, Trinity Catholic Lacrosse. Tellini scored 5 goals to help the Crusaders to their first win in two years.

Here are the female finalists:

Caroline Curnal, Ridgefield Lacrosse. Curnal finished with 5 goals and 1 assist in a 15-10 win over Newtown.

Ashley Humphrey, Darien Lacrosse. Humphrey finished with 6 goals and 1 assist in a 13-12 loss to Manhasset and 3 goals and 1 assist in a 13-6 win over New Canaan.

Jessica Nuzzaci, Fairfield Warde Golf. Nuzzaci shot a 41, 41 and 44 in wins over Ludlowe, Danbury and Darien.

Jessica Otto, Norwalk Softball. Otto went 4 for 4, with a double, and scored the winning run in the bottom of the 7th for an 11-10 win over Greenwich.

Ashley Walker, New Canaan Tennis. Walker had wins at No. 1 singles against Fairfield Warde, Fairfield Ludlowe and Norwalk to remain unbeaten.

  1. Lucas Kammerman is not only a fantastic lacrosse player, but a great young man who would rather assist other players to score, than score himself.

  2. I’ve been watching Ashley Walker hone her tennis skills for the past 8 years. Trinity College – where she will be attending in the Fall – is fortunate to have such a fine young woman. She will excel in whatever she does (both on and off the court) because she’s smart, focused, and determined. A class act all around.
