Video Spotlight: New Canaan-Darien 2008 Turkey Bowl At Boyle Stadium

It was the second-most attended football game ever at Boyle Stadium. In 2008, the Darien and New Canaan football teams met for the FCIAC championship before a crowd of 10,000 people. The Rams won the game, 28-20.

The teams, thanks to rescheduling caused by an anticipated weather event, return to Boyle Stadium Saturday morning at 11:05 a.m. to meet for the Class L championship, The teams also played in the state final in 2008, with New Canaan winning, 26-7.

    • Good question. I think New Canaan’s 2008 offense was a little bit better and this year’s defense is a little bit better. I really like this year’s Darien team because there are few superstars but everyone plays so well together and they just win. Really, you couldn’t go wrong with any of the four teams.
