Darien upset New Canaan on Thanksgiving morning and leaped all the way to the No. 1 seed in the Class L Tournament. The Rams, No. 1 in the state, slipped to No. 3.
Ridgefield surged at the end of the season and earned the No. 8 seed in the Class LL Tournament.
St. Joseph has been solid all season and is the No. 2 seed in the Class M Tournament.
In our latest poll we ask: which of the four schools has the best chance to win a state championship?
The Blue Wave are 10-1 — their lone loss to St. Joseph — and host Daniel Hand on Tuesday night. The Rams, considered by most the state’s best team before their loss, is 11-1 and the FCIAC champion. They host Farmington on Tuesday.
St. Joseph is 9-2 — its only losses are to New Canaan — and will host Ledyard.
Ridgefield is 9-2 — the lone defeats to St. Joseph and Darien — and is on the road against top-seeded Newtown.
So which of the four teams do you think has the best chance of holding up a trophy in two weeks?
You have until noon on Tuesday to cast your vote.
