The CIAC announced its high school football playoff divisions today. Nineteen schools were affected, either moving up or down, but the only FCIAC school affected is, no pun intended, a big one.

Darien had made the jump for L to LL. That means no more of the Turkey Bowl rematches we have been treated to in recent seasons. The loser of that game will have to wait 12 months for revenge.

Other than the departures of Bassick and Harding, it is status quo. Thirteen of the league schools will play in LL, with two in L, one in M and one in S.

Here is the breakdown of the league by division and a look at all four divisions statewide.
