  1. Congratulations to all of the All-State FCIAC players! Not really knowing the stats for the other conferences, I hope that these 23 kids selected will now quiet the crowds of those who claim our conference is so inferior- not to mention the 2 state titles!

  2. Nobody said your conference is so inferior. The FCIAC is my conference, too!
It’s the best football conference in the state, and the best overall athletic conference in the state.
It’s just that the scheduling has to get better. That is the only thing that the SCC Tier 1 is better at; making sure all their top teams play each other each year.
There aren’t enough big FCIAC regular season games on the schedule. Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Staples, Ridgefield, and St. Joe’s need to play each other every year. There is no reason these teams should haver schedules littered with teams like McMahon, Ludlowe, Brideport Central, etc.
Believe me, I’m an FCIAC guy. It’s been well-documented that the schedule needs changing. From what I hear, the league is seriously looking into it.
FCIAC= best teams. SCC= best regular season schedule/excitement.
